Matthew 6:19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Good morning family,

The other day, my wife and I were walking when I saw an X on the street. It was the shadow of a street sign, but it immediately made me think of the saying “X-marks the spot” (Picture # 1). Have you ever heard of this saying? Grammarist says, “The idiom X marks the spot means this is the exact location of something you are looking for or that one may find what he is looking for in an exact area.” I paused to look at the shadow. The X on the street didn’t lead to any type of treasure, until I looked at it in a different way. Once I shifted perspective, I saw The Greatest Treasure known to all of mankind. This is a treasure that has no end, one that is more valuable than every material thing in this world multiplied by millions, and one that is free to all who choose to accept it (Picture #2).

Praying this week that if you haven’t received the gift of Jesus yet, that you would receive it. And I’m praying that whatever situation is before you, that you would be able to see it in a different way.

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
