Matthew 9:37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few.”
Good morning family,
As some of you know, I have assisted in a few critical incidents, such as the Parkland and FBI shootings as well as the Surfside building collapse. This past Saturday, the family from one of those incidents came to my heart. I looked up their email to reach out to them, and once I found it, I put it aside. Within moments, I felt convicted to stop what I was doing and email them, so I did. A short time after sending the email, they responded. They told me they had been talking about the incident and twice in the email said: “it is just funny timing that you reached out.” They were humbled and grateful that I had.
It made me think: How many appointments has God had for us, like this one, that we did not move on?
It was His prompting that made me reach out and as always, His timing was flawless. He wanted them to know that although the pain of this incident had been brought forward again, He was present with them through the pain.
Have you missed an appointment/assignment? Are you listening to what God has called you to do for Him? Seek those opportunities. You will get to witness a blessing, and there will be times that as you accept your assignment, you will be more blessed than those you were assigned to bless.
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
