2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

There is a place between what you can control and what is no longer in your control. That gap is called Faith: Trusting in God that He is able to do what we cannot control.

When my family and I take a flight somewhere, we pray before the plane takes off. While it is on the ground, we are safe, but as it takes off and is in the air, we have to have faith that the plane will hold together and the pilot knows what he or she is doing. In that time, we have to have faith that everything will work out. We all have faith of some kind, whether you believe in God or not. When you go to a restaurant, you have faith in the cook that the food will come out the way you expect it to be. When you get into your car, you have faith that it will start.

Much like we have faith in mundane things, we need to have faith in Our Father that He will keep His promises to us. Many have been deeply concerned with our current events and the state of our country and the elections. No matter where you stand, you have been affected one way or another. But as believers, we need to remember that we do not walk by sight, but by faith. This means that whether or not the candidate you voted for is in the White House, our eyes need to be fixed on our Heavenly Father, for He is greater than all that we see. No one knows how this will finally end, but I have peace knowing that no matter how it ends, our Father is able. Nothing can stop Him, Nothing… Remember that.

Jesus said: “But take heart! I have overcome the world.” I pray that you receive His peace and comfort during this time.

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
