Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Yesterday, at my church’s service, they had an issue with the internet that caused the service to stop. As much as they tried to fix it, it simply would not work. I felt for the church staff members who were working so hard to fix it.

As we sat there waiting, I looked around and wondered how many might be upset about what was happening, even though it was out of everyone’s control. This made me think about all the times in my life where I reached a place where things were out of my control and I had to stand at the fork in the road, not knowing whether I should be angry, fearful or open to embracing the moment. And sometimes, God guides us to where He needs us to be, even if it’s not where we want to be. This was true when I had my surgeries. I had asked for God’s healing each time but it did not happen. However, through the process, I was given amazing opportunities to share the hope we have in Jesus with many.

Because of the internet failure, we were able to hear a moving testimony, and the pastor was able to share the hardship he had endured. In doing so, he gave others hope. Interestingly enough, right after he shared his heart and prayed, the internet came back up.

We have all stood in front of a fork in the road and we will all be there again one day. And when you do get there, take a moment and pray. Ask God why you are there and ask Him to guide you. You will be amazed how much He thinks of you to use you through those times.

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
