Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Surrender. Britannica Dictionary defines the word “surrender” as: “to agree to stop fighting, hiding, resisting, etc., because you know that you will not win or succeed.”

The last two weeks have been a bit challenging: Roof leaks at our location that we are still dealing with, coffee machine that broke, Wifi down (it appears lighting hit our repeater), and several logistical issues that we are working on. The list goes on from there. These things happened back to back to back and at one point, they had meshed together and I was bracing myself to see what would happen next.

But I had to take a step back and reflect. In the chaos, we have to do our best, but at some point, we have to surrender it—whatever “it” may be—and this is often so hard for us to do.

I know many of you have had it much much worse and that the above are merely inconveniences, but for me, it was a gentle reminder that when we’ve done all we can in a given situation, we have to surrender the remainder to God. That space between what we can change and what we cannot change is called Faith. So, I am trusting in Jesus between the gaps.

Praying that this week you will clearly be able to see what areas in your life you should surrender to Jesus. He loves you and wants you to trust in Him.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
