Proverbs 4:25 Let your eyes look forward; fix your gaze straight ahead.

Good morning family,

Last week, my son had a Spring concert event, where he played the saxophone and clarinet. As I was watching all of them play–and I’ve seen them play several times–something caught my eye. In the past, I’ve noticed how each member in the ensemble reads their music as they play their instruments and how most of them tap their feet to keep time, but what I hadn’t paid attention to is how often they would look up to the conductor while they played. He was their ultimate guide to everything they did, and he was able to do this because he was outside of what was being played. He was able to see and hear the entire ensemble, and because of that, he could guide them.

As I was looking at this, I thought what a beautiful comparison this is to us reading our Bible (the music), making sure we stay in time (meditating on His word), but looking to The Conductor (God) to make sure that all we are doing is tuned in to Him because He is outside of everything, carefully watching and listening to us. He is The Creator and Conductor of all things.

Praying this week that you would find the time to read His word, meditate on His word and look to The Conductor (Our Father) for His guidance in all things.

May you have the strength to surrender the strongholds of your life, so that He may orchestrate/conduct every part of it.

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
