2 Corinthians 5: for we walk by faith, not by sight—
Good morning family,
A friend reached out asking for prayers for his two-week old grandson. Due to an emergency, the baby was born prematurely and was having severe health issues. I have not met his son and son’s wife, and due to COVID I had not met the baby. I knew the situation was grave and I prayed for this baby to the point that I was in tears, begging for God to please heal him. In the midst of praying, God reminded me that our sight is limited and His is limitless. Although I did not want anything more than for the baby to heal and be with his family, I understood that it may not be what is best. My will was for the baby to heal, but I didn’t know what His will would be.
Sadly, yesterday the baby went home to be with Our Father. There are things in the future that we do not know, but God does. This is where we need to walk by faith and not by sight. What we see in front of us many times does not make any sense, but holding to all of His promises gives us the hope and strength to continue.
Today is Labor day. Praying that each of you would labor in sharing His love to give many hope when they may be in a place of hopelessness.
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
