Job 37:9 The windstorm comes from its chamber, and the cold from the driving north winds.

Blessed morning family,

This past weekend I had the honor of witnessing someone I know propose to his girlfriend at church. As we were running around and helping with minor details before he “popped the question,” the groom-to-be made a comment about how hot it was and he was right. It was a bit unbearable. But that did not sway him from putting so much love and detail into this moment. He not only wanted to honor her, but he wanted to honor Jesus. When she came out of service, he shared some words with her and asked her to marry him. She said, “100% yes!”

After some pictures were taken, a group formed around them and a pastor friend of mine began to pray. The newly-engaged couple had their foreheads touching and tears flowed from her eyes. I don’t know their background, but it felt like the burdens of her life were coming out through every tear she shed. It was incredibly moving.

As my friend prayed a cold wind began blowing over us. There were no fans as we were outside and in the baking sun, and there were no rain clouds which often bring a cool wind before the storm. As he continued to pray, every time he would say “Jesus” more wind moved over us. It was something so powerful. God’s hand moved over them in a beautiful way and this marriage will be blessed.

Praying this week that you think of Him when you feel the wind blowing.

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
