A few weeks ago, a friend asked if I would keep them in prayer because they were getting married. I said: Of course! After the wedding, I was waiting in my car for them to arrive at the reception location, and I began to pray for them again. But as I was praying, I felt as though God was not hearing my prayers, like He was distant and my prayers were going into a black hole.
As this was happening, a song called “God of Revival” by Bethel Music came on, and I felt God telling me: “It’s not about you. Just pray and I will take it from there.” I was getting in the way of God…..
Then, I heard this part of the song.

As I was singing along, I felt like I was screaming a battle cry! I felt convicted. God was not only hearing my prayers, but He was sending His mighty angels to fight for me.
I know many of us have felt as if God isn’t listening and maybe you’re feeling this way now. But this experience reminded me that I have to let go and trust God. I have to put my faith in Him and in His promises: Just pray and I will take it from there. He will never leave you nor forsake you, so pray without ceasing and let HIm take up the battle before you. He has an army of angels ready to come to your side.
