Titus 2:7-8 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
Great morning family,
The Ignite conference was amazing! I hope your faith was fired up! I know mine was.
I wanted to share a story with all of you.
This weekend, I decided to work on some projects around my house. One of these projects was to water my front lawn, which had become dry and brittle. As I did, I noticed that some parts of the lawn had been dry for longer periods of time and because of this, I found myself watering these areas longer. I was suddenly reminded of a co-worker, who I had invited to the Ignite Conference. She loves The Lord but has many questions, and this yearning for answers brought her to the Ignite Conference. Imagine my surprise and joy at seeing her there! As I introduced her to my wife, I realized that God had placed this young woman within my circle to minister to her, to water her spiritually. And in doing so, I was convicted that it’s my job to live my life with “integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned.” I need to be the example, knowing that even in this I might and will fail.
Who do you have around your circle that is spiritually dry? I know at times this can feel overwhelming, having to minister and lead someone in their walk with The Lord. Or maybe you do not feel equipped to share His Word, but remember that God does not call the qualified. He qualifies those He calls. He will qualify you. So trust in Him to lead this for you.
Wishing you a very blessed week everyone!
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
