Psalm 31:14 “But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.”
Great afternoon family,
Saturday night was a beautiful night. It was filled with Jesus’ presence, healing and humbleness. Listening to David Gonzalez (MDFR) share his testimony was moving, especially considering that he should not be here after what happened to him. And then David shared that when Carlos Rosario (Former FHP,now MDSP) went to pray for him at the hospital, David told him that he was the first one to receive the call for Carlos’ accident, when he began coordinating the care Carlos needed. Carlos had no idea. That was one of the many powerful points in his testimony.
But I also want to share with you something that happened before the meeting. As I was getting ready to leave for the meeting, it began to rain–a lot. All day it had been drizzling and at that moment, it was pouring. I prayed, first saying, Lord, I wish you would stop the rain. But then it turned into, Lord, I know this is the weekend before Christmas and many will probably be shopping… Then back to, Lord I know we have wind and flood advisories, but could you please stop the rain and remove all the advisories? I finally said, Lord, I do this for You….I trust You. I trust You. And I felt an incredible peace.
At first, there were only a few of us there. However, as the night began and the rain continued, people started arriving. It was storming, yet still they came. We ended the night with a full house, something only God could do. So many were able to hear about what Jesus is capable of, and at the end, we prayed for us to surrender all of the burdens we were carrying, accepting the most precious gift of this season, Jesus Christ.
If you are struggling today, tell The Lord, “Lord, I trust You. I trust You.”
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
