Revelation 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Blessings everyone!
I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all of the graduates!! I know this was another strange year for most of you, but it does not take away from the hard work you put in to get there. So congratulations, whether it is for you, your children, grandchildren, family members or friends!
I’ve attended many graduation ceremonies in my life, including my son’s 8th grade one last week, and they are always an amazing time of life. These milestones are priceless. It seems we’re always graduating from something, too: Graduating from elementary school, middle school, high school, college…then, after seemingly endless years of work, finally graduating into retirement.
It doesn’t end there, though. Throughout our entire life, through all those smaller (but important) graduations, we work toward the ultimate graduation: leaving this earth and spending an eternity with Jesus. This is a graduation that isn’t celebrated like the others necessarily and it is one that is painful for those left behind. However, it is one that causes us to reflect on our journey, on whether our life fell into the order we’d hoped or expected.
Wherever you are in your graduation journey, may you be able to enjoy each step. And if you have a loved one that reached that ultimate graduation, may you have the strength to know that in and through Jesus, there is no more suffering or pain.
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
