Romans 8:32-He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
What would you do if you were given one million dollars? I know some who would donate most of it, some who would start a church or ministry, some who would bless many, and others who would keep every penny afraid that they may lose it and go without.
The interesting thing about being given this money is that you cannot do anything with it until you receive it. It is much like God’s gift to us. He stands there with gifts greater than your greatest imagination, yet we often do not receive them. We do not receive His peace, His love, His forgiveness, His strength, His wisdom, His healing,His promise to be with us for eternity. And much like the money, you will never be able to enjoy these gifts if you don’t receive them.
I know a million dollars seems like a problem solver, and I am sure it would resolve many issues. That resolution is temporary, though, and can easily move away like the wind, but His promises stand the test of time because He is beyond all things.
I stand with you when praying that our eyes and our hearts can receive what He has for all of us.
