I want to share an amazing moment that perfectly leads into my announcement of our first FCPO baptism. Last week, I saw a colleague who is a believer. She shared that she had been struggling in her faith, questioning the existence of Jesus, but as she drove into work, she began to pray, asking God to forgive her and to show her a sign. As she finished saying those words, a beat-up van passed her with huge white letters on the back that said: “Jesus is the way.” She was extremely moved. Then, she told me she had been seeing people getting baptized and she wanted to get baptized, but did not have a home church. I didn’t say much, just showed her the picture attached. Isn’t it incredible the way God works?! I had not told her what God placed on my heart, but He shared it with her.
I could not think of a better way to tell all of you that on June 4th, we will be doing our first ever FCPO baptism. We will be partnering with The Police and Fire Chaplains Initiative (PFCI). This is the first time that I know of that Police Officers and Firefighters will be baptizing other first responders and the community. If you have not been baptized, pray about meeting us there. If you were baptized as a baby and would like to make this decision on your own, meet us out there. And if you need something in your life to be buried, come meet us.
