Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

Good morning family,

I wanted to share a beautiful devotional that a brother in Christ, Dean Wellinghoff, wrote:

“God taught me something today while washing dishes of all things. I was washing dishes in the sink, one of which was a bowl that had only popped popcorn. I thought as I was washing it that I didn’t need to be too thorough cleaning it because, after all, it only had popcorn and not anything that really made it dirty. But, then I thought, it’s in the sink with other dishes so I’m going to clean it as thoroughly as I clean every other dish. At that moment I realized that is what God does for us. God’s grace and mercy and the blood of Jesus cleans all of us the same. We all need to be cleaned the same because whether we are just full of popcorn or full of junk because we are all filthy in front of a holy God. Unfortunately, some will go through life thinking that they are not too dirty or too bad, so God will give them a pass. On the other hand, some will think that they are too dirty and that they shouldn’t even be in the sink but rather should be thrown away. ALL need to realize that there is no “good enough” or “bad enough” in the sight of God. We all need a deep cleaning that can only come through the blood of Jesus, which cleanses us from all our sins and ensures that we can have a living and true relationship and eternal life with Him and our Heavenly Father. So, today I’m thanking God for dirty dishes.”

Thank you, Dean!

Have a blessed week everyone.

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
