Good morning, family:

March, 2020: The world has come to a standstill. Every country in the world has stopped due to this virus. People have been ordered or strongly encouraged to stay home to reduce its spreading. Supermarkets have run out of basic necessities, and the need for N95 masks and gloves have reached levels of chaos. Our new normal is seeing people walking around with masks and gloves. Our world economy is being crushed, and adding to this stress is the uncertainty of how long all of this will last.

It sounds so hopeless, but in this chaos, in this time of uncertainty, there is someone we can count on and His name is Jesus! His Word gives us promises and hope.

Bible

John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Colossians 3:15: “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”

1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Philippians 4:7: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

As we all navigate this time, remember that Jesus is unwavering. He is and will always be. Now more than ever, we need to trust in HIm. Pray over your families, pray specifically for peace and health, and that your homes would be covered by His great hand. Use this time to be a light for Christ. Many are anxious. Show them love and grace. If someone comes to your heart, give them a call, send them an encouraging text message, pray for them.

Father, I thank you for all of these amazing men and women of Christ that you have surrounded me with. I pray for a hedge of protection over them and their families. Help us to be your hands and feet in such a time as this. Father, You are above all things–even this virus. I pray for healing for those that are infected. I pray for a renewed spirit of strength and energy for workers who must continue to work and for all hospital staff and first responders who will be working many days and hours without a break.

I pray and ask all of these things in Jesus’ name!

Amen! Amen! and Amen!

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
