Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Good morning family,
Last week, I was not feeling well and eventually took a test and it came back positive. I was given a ton of loving advice, including to open my bedroom windows and air out the room, which I was already doing. I left them open the entire week, including at night. For a few of those nights, I would hear a bird singing intently as one would hear at sunrise. It was confusing and aggravating as I was trying to sleep. It wasn’t until Friday night that I wondered if the bird was confusing the bright lights from the building behind my house with the Sun.
This confusion was timely in that I had been reading in the Bible about false prophets and magicians and the “wonders” they did that brought people away from Jesus and to the confusion of this world. Just like this light seemed to be something it was not. Remember the Bible teaches how to test these false prophets.
“4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”
