Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
Blessings family,
I wanted to send this a bit early to get your hearts ready. 2020 has changed our outlook on life forever. Who would have ever thought that the world would stop the way it did, and because of this, I know many are looking forward to bidding 2020 a stern goodbye! 2020, though, has caused me to reflect A LOT on my life. Overall, as hard as it has been, I am grateful for many things that I sometimes took for granted, like time with family, friends and God.
This year, God placed something on my heart and I wanted to share with all of you: Can you give God the first 30 seconds of 2021? When the clock hits midnight, before you shoot the fireworks, before you kiss your loved one(s), hug a friend, send a text message, can you stop and pray? Pray over your family, your friends, your life, your home or whatever is on your heart.
If you feel empty, know that Your Father knows your heart. Just stay silent and look up, be in His presence. He knows you better than you know yourself.
If you still feel led to pray and cannot find the words, here is a prayer to get you started.
Father,
Thank you for allowing me to be here today. Thank you for my life, for my family, and for my friends. I ask that you cover them with Your great hand. Please heal us of any physical, emotional or spiritual pain. I ask, Father that you continue to be with me as we begin this New Year. Help me to love like you and to be Your hands and feet, even when I do not feel the strength or the desire to do so. Help me to be a great light in 2021.
In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Happy New Year, FCPO Family!!
YBIC,
Jorge
