Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Good morning family,

Last Friday, our brother Chris gave his testimony, and it was powerful. He spoke about his son having a heart attack, doing better, and then being called home to be with God. Through this tragedy, Chris leaned on the above verses. And, as God would have it, these verses have continued to come up throughout the weekend, reminding me: “Trust in the Lord.”

Chris also told us how, after, he mentored a young man whose uncle had been killed by a police officer. This had sent the young man on a path of destruction since his uncle had been like his father. But God orchestrated it so that Chris and he connected through their shared pain of loss, and through that, they were able to support each other, trusting in The Lord.

There are no coincidences in life, but God-incidences.

As always, I speak to myself as I share this. We will experience many ups and downs in our lives, some much more profound than others. But if you lean on your own understanding, you will not be able to get through these life storms. However, if you lean on and trust The Lord, He will make your paths straight. What does that mean? He will give you peace when you know you should have none. He will give you hope when you don’t have any, and you will be driven by a greater purpose than the circumstances that stands in front of you.

Praying that whatever stands before you, that you would be able to look up and over it with, His strength, His hope and His love.

Blessed by serving,

Jorge

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, pay attention to my words; listen closely to my sayings. Don’t lose sight of them; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to one’s whole body.
