Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Blessings family,
Saturday night’s time of fellowship was special and unique. Mario and Miguel shared their experiences with their mothers, but their stories traveled two completely different paths. One was filled with presence, love and encouragement that oddly led to being unable to surrender to God’s love until a much later time, and the other was a road of isolation and pain that endures today even through his intimate walk with Jesus. Our pains and journeys are not always clear. We may not understand why we are going through the fire, but in the case of these two men who shared, it ultimately led them on a path to Jesus. And for some, it may lead us to a deeper relationship with Him.
God had also given us a few confirmations before Saturday night’s meeting to do something beautiful. We gave everyone a piece of paper and a pencil and told them that Jesus wants to take whatever burdens you have on your heart. To take them to the foot of The Cross. We have a cross on the stage that says: “It is finished.” I encouraged them, as they felt prompted, to not wait, but to go up and place it in the basket. As I was sharing, I had a young man walk up and place a note in the basket. Throughout the night we had many leave notes with their burdens at the foot of The Cross. I ask that you please pray for all the requests that were left there and pray for those who wanted to surrender things, but were not ready.
Praying this week that you would be able to surrender whatever is burdening you to the foot of The Cross. He wants to take it from you if you are willing to let it go. Allow Him to give you rest.
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
