John 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
When you read in Mark 15, how Jesus was beaten, crucified and then mocked as He hung on the cross, you realize He could have easily sent down fire to destroy everyone, yet He chose to show love instead–something that is beyond the imagination of many, even believers. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., however, understood this. Had he used force, anger, or mockery, it would have changed moments, but it would not have made a lasting impression. Through his trials, he chose to show Love. This type of love makes an everlasting impression that transcends time.
“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
May we choose love today. Have a blessed week everyone.
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
