2 Corinthians 6:8 We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors.

Good morning family,

As some of you know, my son started high school last year at a new school. We mentally and prayerfully prepared for all of the challenges that would come with this change. We worried about the negative influences he might encounter to include peer pressure. So far, it’s been a great experience, though we know we’re only one-fourth of the way through. As this year is slowly coming to an end, he was selecting his classes for next year. I expected his peers would encourage a path of least resistance–easy classes–but I was so encouraged to hear that his peers were actually “peer pressuring” him to take more challenging ones. They were encouraging him to do better, guiding him in a way that would set him up for success and in a way done with incredible love. What a beautiful act by these teenagers!

We, as believers, should also “peer pressure” everyone we come into contact with, especially in our circle, to always do better. And we should do this in love, helping them see the good they are capable of. We should challenge ourselves, our friends and our family to be an example of The One we have placed our trust in, Jesus Christ.

Praying we can all find the courage and the opportunity to lovingly peer pressure those around us to do better.

God bless you.

Humbled to serve,

Jorge
