Luke 18:8 “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

A couple of years ago my mom gave up on cable TV and went back to using a TV antenna. She recently shared with me that some of her channels began having a lot of static or they disappeared altogether. Hearing this reminded me of moments in my life where I’ve tuned in to God. Some channels with Him at times felt like they were coming in at 1,000K and other channels were just a blank screen.
When I have moments like this, where I do not feel His presence, I share it with my wife. She always asks me: Why do you think you feel this way? When I reflect on that question, I am always reminded that to receive from God, I have to give. I have to give time to read His word, to have more intimate prayers with Him, and at times, to offer myself grace, allowing myself to remove some of the things that weigh me down so I can hear from Him. And sometimes…..I just need to be reminded of the grace He has given me so I can be strengthened.
What are your channels–or time–looking like?
Father, I pray that you would give each person reading this a clear connection to You so they may be tuned into what You have in store for them. Remove all of the interferences that are causing Your signal to not be clearly received and I pray that you would multiply their time, so they may be able to give more. I pray this in Jesus’ name. AMEN!
