John 14: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.
Have you ever known someone who went to the doctor for a check up but did not tell the doctor all they ate or did because they were worried what the doctor might say? Or maybe you know of someone who has taken a huge step to see a therapist, but then they tell you, I am a private person and don’t want to tell them everything. I’ve spoken to many people like this over the years, and I find it funny in a way because then they get upset when things in their lives don’t change.
Much like not opening those areas of your life for healing, many do the same thing with God. The image I get is walking Him through your house. Imagine this house being you. You show Him many rooms in your house (pain or sin), but then you get to certain rooms that you walk past or ignore. You then get upset at the end of the tour because the pain or anger you were feeling are still there.
I can tell you from personal experience that I’ve given God that same tour many times in my life. And I am sure He will most likely get some more from me, but I know that when I’ve opened “those ” doors, I was healed. Jesus tells us that He is the way, The Truth and The Life.
Allow Him to make a way through what is going on in your life. Know that He will bless you with Truth to bring healing. And know that without Him, there is no Life.
Father, you can make a way when things seem impossible, so I pray that you would help us open “those” doors, the doors that have been closed to you in my life so that you can deal with everything that lies behind them.
It is in Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen!
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
