James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Blessings family and Happy President’s Day!
When I was starting my career as a police officer, one of the things that frightened me the most was getting on the radio. One day, I was doing a traffic stop and the thought of so many hearing my transmission crossed my mind, worrying me. The tag of the vehicle I had stopped had the letters W and Y, which we would call off as Whisky and Yankee. Well, in my worry, instead of saying Whisky and then Yankee, I mashed the two words together into one. As you can imagine, everyone had a great laugh.
Let me turn a corner. As a young Chrtisian, my prayers were… well, worthy of another moment like this. Even today, I still struggle with my prayers. But I have learned that it is not through my words or my strength but His that the prayer has its effect. Whether my words are all over the place or whether I say some incredibly beautiful words, ultimately He takes what I share to bless others.
So be encouraged when you pray for others, even if you do not think your words flow or sound eloquent. He will use your words if you allow Him to work through you.
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
