Blessing everyone!
I pray you are all doing great.
A couple of months ago, God placed something on my heart using a few amazing people in my life. We will be blessing officers this Christmas season!
After seeing the card, I felt led to reach out to someone I know who makes cards. I told her I wanted to bless as many officers as I could. She was moved by the card and my request, and she offered to sponsor and make them. She is going to make 5000 cards that we will be distributing to officers this month.
That’s not all. After our last Solidarity Ride meeting, we spoke about how challenging this Christmas season will be for many officers due to everything that is going on. God revealed to me that this Christmas season, He wanted me to tell officers they are loved. So, we got to work. We had small coloring pages that say: God loves you. We are having kids color them and write a message. I prayed and asked God: How many do I make? 100? 200? How many Lord? And He reminded me of the 5000. He specifically wants us to spiritually feed 5000 officers here in Miami-Dade County.
Through amazing people, we have had 5000 coloring pages made (picture below), we are having 5000 Dear Officer cards made, the HPOA donated 2500 candy canes and through a generous love offering from Glenn Downing, we purchased all of the bags to package the gifts.
Adrian, Nancy and Carla have been a huge help getting this going and I want to thank them also.
How can you help?
We need volunteers to pack the items. If you’d like to help, please stop by Calvary Chapel Miami, located at 11975 SW 2nd Street, on Friday, December 11th between 10 am and 12 pm to pick up as many items as you can bag for the officers. Each gift bag will have one colored page, one card and one candy cane with a story of Jesus.
We need them returned to Calvary Chapel Miami as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday, December 16th. We will then coordinate delivery to many police departments county wide, and we’ll need volunteers for that, too.
Please let me know if you can help (or if you know of anyone who can help) with packing and, if possible, delivery of these Christmas blessings.
