Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone works wonders. And blessed be His glorious name forever; and may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen. – Psalm 72:18-19
Good morning Family,
I had an opportunity to vote the other day and while I was waiting in the line, I overheard a conversation with a woman and her young son speaking about Pappa Dios (God). Then I heard a young man behind them talk to them about Star Wars. He asked them: “Have you been to Disney to see the new Star Wars area?” They replied that they had not because of COVID, but would like to go. He then said to them: “It is the greatest thing you will see in this world.” This shocked me. Sure, the Star Wars area in Disney is cool, but to say “it’s the greatest thing you will see in this world”? This profound statement left me sad.
There are many amazing man-made things in this world that are impressive, but they pale in comparison to God’s wonders. Look all around you. God’s fingerprint is everywhere you look, but the most impactful is watching God’s hand moving. I’ve witnessed Jesus transform lives. I’ve witnessed Jesus move mountains. Things that were impossible, He made possible. I’ve seen His Word pierce hardened hearts. And that, for me, is the greatest thing I’ve seen in this world….. Seeing Jesus.
I know Mondays are usually hard for most of us, so I wanted to leave you with this song I heard this weekend (in the link below). It moved me. Listen to it before you go into work or at lunch or on your way home. Listen to it and sing! Sing as unto The Lord and you will witness, if your heart is open, to see another of God’s amazing wonders: Feeling His presence.
Be blessed!
Humbled to serve,
Jorge
