Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Good morning family,
A few months ago I was driving home from work and I saw a flashing light. I looked in my rear view mirror, but no one was flashing their lights behind me. A short time later, I saw it again, but again, nothing. Then it happened once more. Perplexed, I looked everywhere until I saw a plane flying over me. The flashing light was coming from that plane.
Looking for this flashing light made me think about how many things in our lives have “Flashing Lights” that distract us from where we need to be headed. It may not seem to be a big deal because many times we live on “Autopilot” and think we will get to where we need to go anyway. But how many times have we missed an exit or gone the wrong way because we were distracted? This flashing light had distracted me when what I needed to do was focus on my driving. You see, I needed to make sure I arrived where I wanted to go, which was home.
What “Flashing Lights” do you have in your life? Are they preventing you from going where you want to go with God or from where God wants you to go?
Praying that this week you could overcome all of the distractions or “Flashing Lights” in your life. I pray and ask this in His precious name of Jesus!
