Matthew 14:27-29 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
Have you ever had moments in your life that seemed impossible to move from? Or maybe you are there now. You are gripped in fear, in sadness, in a helpless situation that has no foreseeable solution.
The verse above speaks to this. Jesus called Peter to do the impossible………. walk on water. Peter was able to do this impossible task because his eyes were fixed on the One who is greater than “Impossible.” But when he moved his eyes away from Jesus, the “impossible” storm gripped him and he began to sink. If you continue reading, you will see that Jesus pulled him from the water as he began to sink. When we only focus on Jesus, He will get us through every impossible situation, but when we focus on the storm, we will sink. We have all been there, but know that Jesus is still with you in that storm. He is holding His hand out waiting and hoping for you to grab it.
Praying that every Impossible storm that lies in front of you would be calmed by the power of Jesus!
Feliz Navidad!!
God bless you,
Jorge
