Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world.
Happy Monday family,
A couple of years ago, God opened a door for me to help a teenager who was going through a difficult time in her life. In trying to help a friend going down a bad path, she got caught up in the very mess she was trying to get him out of. Because of this, she was asked to leave a group that was dear to her heart. This also strained her relationship with her mother, which made matters worse. When we spoke, she shared that she had faith, and this open door allowed me to minister to her.
The other day, I received a message from her. She wanted to share that since that time, she has been strengthening her relationship with God and with her mom, and she wanted to thank me for helping guide her path. And, as if that weren’t enough, she had been welcomed back to the group and is now a leader there!
My immediate reaction was to say: THANK YOU LORD! God orchestrated this perfect opportunity and saw it through. I only listened to His call and willingly allowed Him to use me. Don’t underestimate your ability to influence strangers, your family, friends, and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ–all for God’s glory. Be His light! All you need is to say to The Lord is, “Here I am. Send me.”
God has placed people in your path so that you may love them the way Christ loves you, giving them hope when they feel there is no hope left. Be open to God using you. You will be amazed and humbled when you get to witness His hand moving.
God bless you,
Jorge
